Yesterday I was reading the newspaper “for a change” and I realized that they actually still talk about the Silk City, I honestly forgot what it’s all about.. it has been this long. apparently they plan to start the development of the city in October “2008″, and the reason for the quotation is the fact that they only wrote in October, they didn’t mention anything about the year.

So what do you people think? honestly speaking, i’ll be in shock if I see something happening before 2009.

We’ve been waiting so long for our favourite shows to return, and now the wait is almost over. Soon new episodes will air and we’ll be able to enjoy whatever’s left of the season ! =D

Personally, i think i missed Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate housewives the most! (And yes by that i mean McDreamy, McSteamy and Mike Delfino ;p)
Ofcourse the last episode of Prison break was a cliffhanger ! Cant wait to see what’s happened to michael and Lincoln. I know a great thing will turn out but am not gonna say it here ;D

Heroes is amazing, you just cant “not like” Hiro Nakamura so you cant hate the show ;p
Lost is a LOST cause i think. Dont know about you people but that’s how i see it.
Ugly Betty.. Is Hilaaarious! Unique in it’s own way. I really miss that show.

 Today on the way to work I saw this from the 1st ring road. a building that seems to be behind the government mall is on fire. if anyone knows about it please share it with us.

I would also like to know how long it took the rescue teams to arrive since we have 41% of the population working in this force (according to Mishref)

I received this SMS from a friend.

“النائب المطير: نرفض عطلة السبت و التشبه باليهود و سيكون لنل وقفه غدا”

is this guy out of his mind? what does Saturday weekend have to do with trying to imitate jews? i though the Islamic holiday is Friday which i believe is still going to be the same…

please someone tell me that this SMS is just going around for no reason and that Almutair didn’t actually say that because if he did say that I want someone to tell me what does he mean by that.

Woooow! today apple finally announced their quarter earning.. the stock was trading today and reached up to $95.22 as a day high, when the announcement came out around 1am (Kuwait time) the stock started trading after hours and pushed the price up all the way to $103.86 and now is it’s back trading at around the $101 range (+8.86%).

The reason behind the jump after the earning is obviously good earning, the expected EPS was $.64 which is crushed by the actual EPS of $.86 and the raise is due to the soaring sales of of MacBook and iPod.

Congrats to whoever is trading AAPL, Tomorrow is going to be a good!

Today i received a message from a friend about an article in Alwatan newspaper  which stated that GUST will offer their new majors starting next fall semester when they move to their new campus. the new majors are:

• Interior design
• Architecture engineering
• Environment engineering
• Computer engineering
• Software engineering
• Islamic banking
• Islamic insurance management
• Islamic investment management
• AND FINALLY………. MBA!!!

32 students were killed at Virginia Tech yesterday plus the killer himself which adds up to 33.. which makes it the biggest massacre in the US history. the shooter just walked into class and started shooting people and made sure he killed everyone in class. few survivors, one pretended he was dead and couple jumped out of the window. the massacre not only shot people in class but he killed two other victims earlier in their dorms.

After the killer committed the crime he finally killed himself as the police report stated.

Sultan center released their new loyalty program, it’s a very smart way of making sure they stay on their customers mind when they think of shopping in Kuwait. they added the points rewards program which earns you points every time you shop at their stores either locally or international. these points can either be used to buy discounted products from their stores, collect free miles to fly on Kuwait airways, get free minutes and SMS from Wataniya telecom, and more plans to expand the program rewards in the future.

I have been shopping at sultan’s center for a while especially since I came back from the states and every time I go they ask me if I have a membership card and my answer is no, and honestly i don’t care to have one either. but now when i saw this i’m almost positive i’m signing up for their program the next time I go their.

I think it’s a briliant idea, and they definitely knew how to attract the Kuwaiti customers by choosing a very interesting rewards to offer.
