My car was a the shop for a week or so, and HJ gave me his car to use for the time being.. and after driving it I would like to share my opinion on it.

Pros:

• Fuel consumption is really good.
• Car looks amazing.
• High speed handling is great!
• Sound system is good.
• Acceleration is good.
• Cornering is near perfect.
• Takes some guts to get it out of traction.
• Breaking is great. (from a previous experience)

Cons:

• Convertible (HJ wouldn’t agree with me obviously)
• Air sound is noticeable at high speed.
• Automatic transmission (not a fan of the tiptronic they have and the way it shifts)

Things I would have changed if I am buying a Carrera would be:

• Make it coupe instead of a convertible
• Manual transmission.

that’s pretty cool.. anything that involves drifting is always cool, this time it’s environment friendly! :P

Ferrari has announced that it will auction a special Ferrari F430 and donate the proceeds to help relief the aftermath of the earthquake in Italy. Another sick looking F430. the color scheme is just blowing my mind.

When my car was at the shop I rented a Hyundai Accent from national rental at the airport, the reason I went with them was obvious, I was looking to rent the cheapest vehicle that moves me from point A to B, and it was this little beast you see. the cost of this car for the week was 72 BHD + 3 BHD for gas. not bad considering how much we used it.

The project has finally started, Last week I installed the rear diffuser at Salmaniya garage, the guys at the garage are really friendly and they know what they are doing. if you ever need a paint job or a you want to do any body work they are the right people to go to ( I also heard garage Al-hassan is a good one).

I called them up to schedule a day and they gave me a weekend (because I asked for one) and when I arrived there it took less than 30 minutes and I was on my way out with the diffuser on.

The world record for car prices was set by the 1961 Ferrari California Spyder at $11 million; but this might not be for long if the 1965 Shelby cobra sell for more than that, and it’s expected to happen as they are estimating this beautiful car to sell for between $10-15 million in the Mecum High Performance Auctions in Indianapolis on may 15th even in this bad economy.

Not sure if it’s foiled or painted … but this thing looks ugly.. I will give it to him though, the wheels look good with “this color”..

Can you believe this! 6 months after I got into my accident in October (The Honda) I get into another accident but this time in the M3.. and guess what… the EXACT SAME SHIT HAPPENED !! exactly the same! a guy leaves a U-Turn and doesn’t look to his right! BOOM !

A note on the side… 199 the emergency line for traffic accidents in bahrain is working… but they don’t pick up ! so just drive to the station if your car is drivable..

Starting with “aero-dynamics” … I have just received the Vorsteiner Type I rear diffuser and it will be installed on saturday morning.

following that will be 3 more things for sure.. the carbon fiber front lip, the carbon fiber trunk, the carbon fiber hood… hopefully by mid-summer this 3 items will be purchased and installed.

the question that I want to your opinion on is what should i do about the trunk and hood… should I keep them unpainted, or should i paint it to match the car color…. the car is a sparkling graphite. and unfortunately it has a moon roof which means no carbon fiber roof :(

will post pictures of the car with the diffuser on as soon as I install it
