Whats going on??

18 11 2007

I haven’t been posting lately, I can’t blame that on work this time.. I have been the laziest potato couch you can ever imagine. 2 Weeks ago we realized that we are so ahead of schedule in our international assignment and our supervisors gave us vacation.. which we thought will be 3 or 4 days, it the vacation is still going and it will continue until the 20th of November.

When the vacation first started I booked a ticket to get the hell out of Rotterdam and flew to Manchester to see an old friend from college, I spend 5 days in Manchester between walking around, visiting museums, eating, partying, and catching up with my friend.

After that I come back Amsterdam for a day and that day I felt a little sick so I took a train back the next day to Rotterdam and thats when it hit me that I’m really sick, in the train station I bought the essentials… Bread, Turkey, Cheese, Water, and pre-paid cards (in case of emergencies) and head home hoping to feel better the next day.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.. I was in bed (couch) for 5 days in a row.. yes I didn’t leave the damn apartment until Friday!  which meant I need some sort of activities to waste my time with. So I picked a show that I haven’t watched which happens to be Desperate housewives (I’ve always thought it’s lame because I only saw one episode of it). since Monday when I arrived in Rotterdam I have finished Season 1, 2, and 3. and I have to admit, the show is damn great! the story flow so good and it’s flawless! I love how they merge characters into the story and how they take them out. it’s just a brilliant show in my opinion and I will stick it in with my top 5 shows. oh yeah and I fell in love with Susan Mayer, she is so hot and lovable !! :P

Now i’m watching season 4 and I think after finishing this many episodes in such a short period of time I will retire from watching TV shows because I wasted alot of time that I could’ve been productive in.

Lessons learned:

  1. TV shows are addictive
  2. 5 days in the same place is boring
  3. Being sick sucks!

TV Shows reviews & updates.

4 11 2007

As some of you may have read in the past that I have been watching alot and alot of TV Shows.. Well I thought I would update the progress report on these shows.

  • MONK: I have finish whats out of season 6. and obviously that means that I have seen all the other season. I believe the brilliant.
  • Weeds: I’m again up-to-date with this show. I love the spin they made in the last season and the addition of Mary-kate to the cast. I can see the show having at least 2 more seasons.
  • Entourage: what the hell is going on with entourage? when will it start airing again. Im still waiting for the 4th season to resume airing.
  • Prison break: AMAZING show. but is it true that this season will be only 7 episodes long?? don’t get me wrong, the 7 episodes made me loose enough hair but the more the better I think.
  • Madmen: the show starts slow, but you gradually fall for it. I finished all the released episodes and waiting for more.
  • Rules of engagement: Read below.
  • Heroes: I can’t say enough about this show. great show and great writers in my opinion, expect the unexpected from this show. a must watch.
  • Scrubs: my favorite show of all time is coming to an end damn it! the 7th and last season started airing 2 weeks ago and I must say if they keep up the quality of the first 2 episodes this will be the best season ever. I can see alot of twisting in the coming episodes in terms of relationships. Dr. Cox is as pissed as he has always been, The Todd is as nasty as he has always been and more, JD is still day dreaming, and The Janitor is still looking for ways to annoy J.D…. This are pretty much the same.
  • Grey’s anatomy: Still haven’t watched season 2. when I go back to Kuwait because my sister would get mad if she doesn’t see it again with me :P
  • Damages: Started watching the show not too long ago (i’m on the 3rd episode) and I think I might like the show but I need more time to figure it out a little more since the story is kind of weird?

Rules of Engagement

4 11 2007

Ok.. Just as I thought that TV shows are reaching a peak in how great they are my brother tells me about this comedy show called “Rules of Engagement” which I believe took TV show another notch up. the show is about 5 people, 2 couples (one married and one still engaged) and their “player friend” and how they deal with whats going on in their lives.

Season one of this show started in the beginning of this year with 7 “20 minutes” episodes. and season two is already airing. I think this show could be the next Scrubs for me so lets hope they keep up their standards and make alot of episodes to last me the next couple of years.

What really made me realize that the show is good is the fact that when my brother told me about it and I started watching it, all of a sudden it’s 6am and I’m stuck with no more episodes to watch so I started downloading season 2, which I believe will be watched all today.

Posting from iPod touch

3 11 2007

Few days ago I finally received my iPod touch. And now I am posting from it now.

Things that i love about the iPod touch are:

  1. the screen is really clear when it comes to videos and browsing.
  2. downloading music, and videos is very simple using iTunes.
  3. syncing the calender with mac book pro and nokia61i is very helpful
  4. the size is very good and again impressed by how thin it is.
  5. iPod browsing system is 100 times better than the old dial pad.
  6. the virtual keyboard takes about a day or two to get used to but once that happens its amazing, im currently typing faster than typing on my nokia e61i.
  7. so far this is the best apple product I have used but I still cant judge the iPhone because i didn’t get the chance to use it. And ot should be the same of not better.

P.s. When you setup your iTunes account you cant stop downloading!! so watch out :P
