So here I am.. Finally at my apartment here in Rotterdam.. huh? why finally??? as if i wasn’t having fun all along.. it’s just that I didn’t have internet as much as I wanted and i’m actually stealing it from my neighbors now (SNA don’t even think about it!) because my internet won’t work until Monday.

woow I just realized that I haven’t posted in a long. well here is what happened “as monk usually says”.. After the trip to Italy we went back to Geneva for couple of days and then the group split-up into the London group, and my roommate and I headed to Amsterdam, and that was the end of the last post.

In Amsterdam another 2 friends met with us. and it was a blast from that point…  we did some shopping, visited a museum, went to fancy restaurants, and some going out.

Things you probably want to do in Amsterdam:

  1. Museums:
    1. The Rijksmuseum. (nice pieces of art such as the Nightwatch by Rembrandt) *done*
    2. The Van Gough museum. *on the list*
    3. Sex museum. *on the list*

  1. Restaurants & Cafes
    1. Escape Cafe – Very good salads and appetizers.
    2. Luxembourg cafe – I had the club sandwich and it was good.
    3. St. Patrick’s Pub – good if you want to watch the game and have a bite.
    4. Ciel Blu-  very formal restaurant but the food is beyond good! It’s in the Okura hotel. Call for reservation (thanks G for the pick)
  2. Shopping:
    1. Just walk around and you will find something to buy. and if you are shopping for cloths (most of the cases) it’s so cheap compared to other parts of Europe.
  3. Hotels
    1. NH Doelen hotel: I stayed at this one. it’s ok, nothing fancy but the main issue with them are the room sizes. the price is very good for the location of the hotel in the center of the city.
    2. Hotel de l’Europe: my friends stayed there. Very nice and classy hotel but a bit pricey for Amsterdam i think.

Just a random picture of the Amsterdam:

Another post will have the Rotterdam summary soon..
