Bad luck? or inexperience? (week 2) Email This Post Print This Post

Apparently we are not having the best weeks lately! everyweek we come across new experience.. this time it’s definitely bad luck. we had the boat sitting in the water overnight tight to a the floating thing “boya” but with our bad luck the rope connecting the boya to the concrete in the sea decided to disconnect (enga9). and the boat docked about 1 km away and the waves started hitting the shit out of it filling it with water and sand. which caused this…

after about 40 minutes of trying to clean up the boat from water the water started to go away (low tide) some guys at the chalet where the boat docked came out to help. it took us about 3 hours to get it out with the help of around 10 people and a ATV pulling at the same time.

What did we use to get the water out??

  1. Hoses (about 4 of them to suck the water out)
  2. Buckets
  3. Water bottles
  4. and the Maqar (the hole in the back of the boat)

Luckily the engine was lifted and nothing happened to it so the boat started as soon as we got it back into the water. Special thanks to the guys who helped us and to our friends at the chalet. GOOD WORK!

Here is another picture..

Now the boat is on the trolley and will be towed to the dealership tomorrow to get serviced and to clean up the mess.
